GBE are employed under a bespoke Battersea developments Trade Contract to undertake the Lead Co-ordination design, and the manufacture, supply, install, test, commission and set to work the Mechanical, Public Health, Building Management System and Fire Suppression Services – Basement and Infrastructure, for the development(s) known as Battersea Phase 3B comprising O-1 Residential Building (Core D) and, O-1 Commercial Building.

GBE were responsible for the following systems.

• Chilled-water systems
• Low-temperature hot water systems
• Domestic water systems
• Public health, soil waste & vent, rainwater/stormwater collection and pumped drainage including the drainage from the stacks to bathroom pods and utility cupboards within the apartments.
• Water treatment systems
• Air conditioning and ventilation systems, (excluding car park smoke extract and apartment AOV systems and firefighting lift lobby smoke ventilation in the commercial building) including other smoke extract systems.
• Split A/C / DX systems serving rooms as detailed on schematic and layout drawings
• Condensate waste from equipment to sanitary collection system
• Thermal insulation and electric trace heating
• Acoustic and anti-vibration requirement
• Pipework expansion and contraction
• Mechanical systems electrical equipment and cabling
• Miscellaneous plant and equipment
• Building Management System including Motor Control Centres
• Sprinkler system including fire pump room and wet risers
• Leak detection and bunds under MER floor
• Utility services connections into apartment utility cupboards and interface design between Trade Contractor works and residential apartment fit out works.

After a full design validation, GBE were able to implement off site manufacturing and prefabrication of the following.

• Mechanical Riser Pipework and Frames
• Commercial Building HIU & CIU Arrangements
• Basement Plantroom Pump Modules
• LTHW and CHW Pipework
• BCWS Stainless Steel Pipework
