GBE have delivered the complete process-water pipework installations across two flagship Microsoft data centres. The works include a comprehensive stress analysis of pipework movement and thermal expansion, together with the design and integration of bespoke engineered devices to accommodate these forces.
The 1,000 mm-diameter roof ring-main pipework has been fabricated and assembled in sections off site, allowing it to be craned directly into position. Distribution pipework serving the ASHPs, risers and data halls has also been modularised, enabling manufacture ahead of the on-site programme while delivering greater installation efficiency and consistently high standards of quality control.
